Biography
Jodi Warren is a partner at Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld LLP. Jodi’s practice focuses on representing not-for-profit and religious organizations in sophisticated and multifaceted real estate transactions, including short-term leases and ground leases, purchases and sales of property, joint ventures, and development projects. Jodi helps clients navigate the complex statutory approval process required of not-for-profit and religious corporations for the sale and other disposition of real property, including petitioning the Office of the New York State Attorney General and the Supreme Court.
Additionally, Jodi regularly advises on the complex regulatory landscape affecting tax-exempt entities, including formation, compliance, mergers, dissolutions, and the securing and maintaining of real property tax exemptions.
Jodi has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and received the Nonprofit Trailblazer Award. She is an active member of the NYC Bar Non-Profit Organizations Committee and the Government Relations Council of Not-for-Profit NY.
