Biography
Alexandra represents religious and not-for-profit clients in various types of real estate transactions including sales and acquisitions of properties, long-term leases and other types of use agreements.
Alexandra regularly advises religious corporations and not-for-profit corporations on navigating the statutory approval process for the sale and other disposition of real property assets, including the submission of applications to the Office of the New York State Attorney General and the Supreme Court of the State of New York, pursuant to Not-For-Profit Corporation Law Sections 510, 511 and 511-a, and Religious Corporations Law Sections 12 and 18. She also assists her clients prior to entering into a transaction, often evaluating potential transactions and whether such aligns with the organization’s mission and goals.
Before joining Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld, Alexandra worked at a large international law firm where she focused primarily on capital markets transactions. Alexandra received her Bachelor of Arts from University of Miami and her law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
