NYSSCPA/Foundation for Accounting Education Estate Planning Conference @ Citi Executive Conference Center -
May 24 @ 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Foundation for Accounting Education

New York State Society of Certified Professional Accountant

Estate Planning Conference

The past several months have witnessed a dramatic transformation in the estate and tax planning landscape, much of which stems from the 2017 Tax Reform Act and its temporary doubling of the federal estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax exemptions, and the new 20% deduction for qualified business income from pass-through entities. At this event, a spectacular array of all-star practitioners will give the solid practical advice that all CPAs, CFPs, CLUs, attorneys, and other professionals involved in estate planning will find invaluable.

Robert S. Barnett, CPA, Esq will speak on the panel “Income Tax Considerations including Medicaid Planning”. Income tax considerations are extraordinarily critical under the 2017 Tax Reform Act. But what happens if the client is trying also to achieve Medicaid planning objectives? Robert will explain how these seemingly disparate objectives can be harmonized. This panel will run from 4:20 p.m. to 5:10 p.m.
