John F. Geida, Esq., Of Counsel to Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld, LLP, believes that the better prepared one is to face the obstacles that lie ahead the more likely it is that the ends sought will be achieved. For the last twenty years Mr. Geida has been litigating complex civil and criminal matters, in state and Federal Courts throughout New York and Connecticut. He has represented small and mid-sized businesses in their day to day operational issues as well as long term strategic planning, organization, and litigation. Mr. Geida brings an expanded knowledge of employment law, having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in various workplace conflicts. He has argued appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the Supreme Court of the State of Connecticut, and in the intermediate appellate courts of New York State and Connecticut. Mr. Geida began his career as a public defender at the Manhattan office of The Legal Aid Society.
